Tillman

Tillman, getting down to the sounds of Wilco at the studio. He's pretty much the Lord of iTunes, and we've got the studio tricked out with AirPort Express, which lets you stream your iTunes to a sound system. Me likey.

That's one of our crushed cans up on the wall. Look for those at our two shows in October with Atlanta Celebrates Photography.

Baby V.

I was asking "Are you sure she's only six months old?" Mom said her older sister walked at seven months, which explains much.

Little Shop of Stories

As part of Loop Atlanta (more to come on that!), we created a store display for Little Shop of Stories in downtown Decatur. It's a wonderful book store (and not just for kids). Everyone there can help you pick out the best books for your kids, whether they're currently reading Richard Scarry or Eoin Colfer. Plus, they have a thrice-weekly storytime for kids.

Here are a few of the images:

Hoopla!

We've created a store display for the fine folks at Hoopla, another one of our partners in Loop Atlanta. You can see these images and more when you visit them in downtown Decatur. They've got a super-fun store, with tons of unique toys and clothes, and they always play my favorite big band music, too. :-)

Tag!

Tag!, our new favorite family band will be appearing LIVE, THIS SUNDAY, AUGUST, 31, @ THE GRANT PARK SUMMER IN THE SHADE FESTIVAL.

Tag's music is featured on our portrait website, and the feedback we're getting from everyone is fantastic. Their debut album, Move and Shake, is loads of fun, and you can pick it up at the show.

First performance is at 2:00, and the second one at 3:30. Bring the whole family; the kids will have a blast. Hope to see you there for an afternoon of good tunes!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Hey Star Wars fans! Definitely take the kids to check out the new Star Wars flick, The Clone Wars.

I still have all of my Star Wars action figures from back in the 70s, in the original collectors case. Back then, you couldn't just waltz out and get a Boba Fett. You had to religiously save your UPC codes, fill out a form, mail it and wait. I'd rush to the mailbox every day (a la Ralphie in A Christmas Story) every day with great hope, and after nearly two months of daily disappointment (excluding Sundays), Boba Fett arrived. All three inches of him.

I know, Major Geek, right? But thirty years later, my boys are similarly obsessed, and it provides a good reason to hit Walgreens, buy some movie candy, smuggle it into the theatre and enjoy two hours of laser guns and light sabers on a steamy Sunday afternoon.

Rotta the Hutt is pretty cute, too, as slugs go.

The New Website is Live!

After many months of sweat, tears and toil, our new portrait website is now live. Tons of new work, a new logo, fresh new colors and all that. We will follow with a brand new wedding site, and one for our commercial projects as well.

You can view the new site here.

My Chubba-Chubba

Is there anything better in the morning than a big smile from a baby? Chubb-Chubb is so sweet, he's making us contemplate FOUR.

Magnolia

I've spent part of my summer chasing magnolias, and so far, this is my favorite.

If this cool spell continues, the magnolias will start to bloom again. Keep your eyes open.

Paul Strand

“It is one thing to photograph people. It is another to make others care about them by revealing the core of their humanness.”
