Finished!

Great satisfaction here as I have just now handed Nicholas Kniel the final DVDs for our book. Our final edit ended up in the range of 440 images. All will ship tomorrow via FedEx to our publisher and we should see our baby by next fall!

Major props to Nicholas and Tim. I've spent over 200 hours this summer on the project, which means they've put in 1000. It's been a great time. Tons of coffee, ideas, laughter, ADD, Grace Jones, Buddha Bar, Alon's, beautiful models, great conversation, and the occasional Tourette's Fest.

Here's Nick and I working on one of his elaborate creations in my studio. Photo by Tim.

Final day in the studio

Nick and I wrapped the photography for the book around noon today, grabbed lunch at Alon's and iced coffee at Z-Cafe. Lisa makes a mean iced coffee, with an added shot of espresso just to make sure you don't zone out while trying to edit 4000 photographs.

Adobe's Lightroom made the editing a breeze. I'm now a complete Lightroom junkie. It's one of those brilliant technology solutions that immediately makes you wonder how you survived without it.

Now, all I have to to is tweak and retouch 450 photographs!
