Angels on the Cover: Georgia Magazine!
Atlanta (June 28, 2007) – Even in the intense heat, 5-year-old Brody Cole had an ear-to-ear smile for the camera at Mercury Air Center on June 26. Associate Editor of Georgia Magazine Victoria DeCastro and photographer Parker Smith’s hearts melted for the mitochondria patient as he, his mother Kristi, and Angel Flight of Georgia pilot Mack Secord posed for a cover shot for the August edition of Georgia Magazine! Lindsey Outlaw, Communications Assistant for AFGA, has been working with a freelance writer with Georgia Magazine for a few months, and coordinated the photo shoot. Many thanks to our friends at Georgia Magazine for helping us spread the word about our mission to the community, and thanks to Mercury Air Center for the use of their facility!

Portraits selected for new Children's Healthcare Cancer Center

I'm very proud to announce that thirteen of my Flashes of Hope portraits have been selected by Children's Healthcare of Atlanta to decorate the walls of the new AFLAC Cancer Center at Eggleston. This is certainly a great honor for me, and a very gratifying achievement after all of the hard work I've put into creating portraits for Flashes of Hope over the past two years. The patients at the Cancer Center are truly inspiring; if you ever need a true perspective on your life and the blessings you have, volunteer at the Cancer Center.
Thanks to all of the local Flashes of Hope crew: Amy, Jennifer (J-Ko), Sarah, and the many others who've helped out.
I'll try to post a photo of the interior after the July 30 opening.

Happy Birthday to Me
Today we celebrate our second anniversary in our Zonolite studio, and we are very close to our 11th birthday since the day I quit my job and dove into photography headfirst (without any water in the swimming pool).
Thanks to everyone for supporting me over the years. I love what I do, and you make it all possible.
